It’s been a while since this actually went live – but at last I can show off a few of the pages from the latest Magento eCommerce site I have built – AnythingSurf.co.uk.
This Magento site had a really fast turn-around and I think everyone has been really pleased by the results. We are aiming for a high-end market and trying to make the most of the Jewellery.
A simple Ruby on Rails based site for displaying cars for sale at the Barras Car Centre forecourt in Guernsey.
For this website the real key was enabling customers to engage via social media and to create a place where pipe smokers could discuss their hobby. Due in part to the way in which smoking in public is becoming less tolerated but also due to the banning of advertising through so many traditional channels the internet and especially social meda was an avenue our clients were very keen to utilise.
This was a really quick HTML website that needed some integration with third-party systems to allow the site owner (a freelance designer I work with occasionally) to be able to make changes to the site and accept feedback. Building Martel Maides a new website was a fairly large undertaking and involved a website build, plenty of custom functionality as well as a complex integration project with their existing back-end system. The website look and feel was provided by a third-party designer and my task was to build the entire site from the ground up including some elements of design, but mostly a large amount of HTML and back-end code which in this case was Ruby.
After having implemented the Cable & Wireless Guernsey telephone directory into the find website it seemed a really good idea to try and make this work for peoples mobile phones.
This wordpress site uses a highly integrated design, that allows for the company to add or modify their services and for the information to filter right through the site. This included an accordion menu and javascript fading banners, all aimed at letting the company promote their services to the best of their ability.
